A Family Hike to Duksfjord

During this summer season at the gallery I’ve been asked by many tourists if I like living in the North Cape and why.  Well, here’s just one of the reasons – our treasured family hikes on the island of Magerøya.

About ekhaugli

I'm Erica from America living at the top of the world - North Cape, Norway. I'm an artist at Once Upon a Dream Studio, nestled in the picturesque fishing town, Honningsvåg. http://www.onceuponadream.no In 2014 I started and environmental art project, One Step at a Time, concentrating on removing trash from or arctic shoreline.

Ahhh, so beautiful. The landscape is tatalizing…
Still looks rather cool there; what are your normal highs this time of year?

    • ekhaugli says:

Yes, it’s still cold here. We haven’t had very many warm days this summer. The temperature has been between 7-10 C most of the summer. Still holding out hope for a few more warmer days 🙂

  2. seekraz says:

Beautiful, Erica…I can almost smell the chilly air. 🙂

    • ekhaugli says:

🙂 yes it is chilly. Is it in the 100’s in Utah. My parents are visiting from Boise and are glad they are in 50 degree weather instead of 106 🙂

      • seekraz says:

And yes, it is in the 100s here…much to my dismay! At least it’s not 117 like it was down in Arizona yesterday. 😦 I’m sure your parents are enjoying the break from the heat…and in such a beautiful place….

What great pictures. Bet your folks are really enjoying their visit.
Would love to be having cool weather. 107 yestrday in So. Cal.

    • ekhaugli says:

Yepp.. they’re enjoying weather in the 40 and 50s 😉 a little bit of a difference from 106 in Boise and 107 with you guys. We are having a great time and now Josiah’s starting speaking English back to them! Woohoo!

These are some amazing photographs…and very welcome to me here in San Antonio!

  5. Such rugged beauty, and that’s one hardy three year old!
