Life is Good at 71 Degrees North of the Equator

About ekhaugli

I'm Erica from America living at the top of the world - North Cape, Norway. I'm an artist at Once Upon a Dream Studio, nestled in the picturesque fishing town, Honningsvåg. In 2014 I started and environmental art project, One Step at a Time, concentrating on removing trash from or arctic shoreline.

    It sure looks good! 🙂
Too good to be true, puuuuh. In Bonn it’s boiling hot at the moment; 42°c. I’m looking forward to going to Norway again next month, it looks so clean and crisp. Puuuuh….

Uff.. that’s too warm for me as well. Hang in there 🙂 Hope you get some lovely Norwegian summer days when you arrive…not too hot, just right!

    Hi Erica,
Wow, a sunny Honningsvåg! Very different in comparison with our visit to a rainy Honningsvåg. But in spite of the cold and rainy weather we’ve enjoyed our visit to your gallery very much and it was a pleasure to meet you. We have given the pictureholders made of stone a nice place in our living room. Yes, we are home after a wonderful and inspiring journey through Norway and a part of Sweden. Now we’re trying to get used to every day life, I guess we will be quickly accustomed to it. We keep on following your blog so it feels as if we are back for a moment on the picturesque isle Magerøya. We wish you a lot of success with your gallery and your effort to clear away the trash on the coastline. It’s a great initiative!

Look at those skies! I wish I lived somewhere 71 degrees from the equator.

Instead we get 2 weeks of sunshine and then 50 weeks of rain in the UK 😦

Well, we’ve had an unusually warm summer.. they say it hasn’t been like this since 1972 🙂

Great for landscapes – not so great for weddings 😦 Horrid harsh lighting and shadows on peoples faces. Then there’s the screen glare whilst I’m trying to post-process.

        I hate the sun!
