Polar nights have arrived!

They’re here!  I was a little off on my countdown and the polar nights arrived two days ago. No sunrise or sunset for two months.  As we head toward the winter solstice, each day will be a little bit darker.  Rose-tinted landscapes, thanks to nature’s design.

wow! no real day for two months? how is it, how are people coping with this? For me is impressive, because I grew up in a country where days are bright, and nights are dark, so is a little hard to imagine how it would be to experience this 🙂 I might actually love it, because I am an “evening person”, so it would be a continuous evening there 😀 The pictures are beautiful and the pink sky looks like cotton candy

During this time of year, we can be very tired. In our house we take cod liver oil and vitamin D. Plus we have a sun lamp on for 15 minutes at the breakfast and dinner table. But the light is special and the polar night atmosphere is very unique. I recommend to everyone to come and experience it.

    Beautiful place.

  11. Must be quite weird; the pineal gland must pine for the light?

Yes. It’s not so easy to get up when the alarm clock rings. I take vitamin d and the kids take cod liver oil and special type of multivitamin. Plus we have a sun lamp on for 15 minutes at the breakfast and dinner table.

You have a very nice site about the noordkapp. And lovely pictures. We come this year to the Noordkapp with a cruise ship.(Honigsvag). And hope to make a lot of beautifull pictures there.
